Using this Procedure Site

This procedure site has been structured around the teams/services in Southwark.

The site also contains direct links to two mini-sites. These are The Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Both are available from the main homepage and the Full List of Contents.

This procedure site will be updated on a regular basis and a summary of any changes made will be available via the 'Amendments' button on the navigation bar.

We recommend that you register with tri.x as soon as you start using the site. To do this, please see Register for Updates. Registering your personal contact details with tri.x enables them to automatically notify you as soon as any changes are made to the site.

Tri.x will manage your data respectfully and in accordance with your preferences and will never share your data with other organisations for marketing or other purposes.

Please note: The amendments and updates guidance above does not apply to Southwark Policies and Procedures resources, which can be updated locally as and when required.

To provide feedback, report any issues or suggest improvements to any part of the site, you can e-mail Natasha Greenway (Natasha.Greenway@southwark.gov.uk) or Karen Crane (Karen.Crane@southwark.gov.uk).

The procedure site has been designed so that it is quick and easy to navigate.

To find a procedure you can:

  1. Access it using the 'Full Contents' list; or
  2. Access from your team/service page; or
  3. Access it using the search facility.

To navigate a procedure you can:

  1. Scroll through the procedure; or
  2. Click on the subheading you require from the sidebar contents list.

To return to the top of a procedure you can use the large up arrow found in the bottom right hand side of each procedure.

To return to a previous page you can use the back arrow.

To return to the main site homepage you can use the 'Home' button on the navigation bar.

In this area, you will find all our policies, locally produced procedures and guidance, internal processes, documents, and links to support practice.

The library is structured around key headings. Clicking on the heading will reveal the list of relevant resources available. Clicking on the resource will enable access to it.

If there is a Southwark resource that you think should be added talk to your line manager or the person at the Local Authority with designated responsibility for the procedures site (see Section 3, Provide Feedback).

A system administrator is a person (or persons) whose role is to manage the Southwark Policies and Procedures area. This includes structuring the sections, adding resources and deleting resources.

We recommend that you keep a local record of this information, should you ever require it in the future.
